In 1957, Emilio Pucci took the medieval flags of the Palio di Siena and transformed them into pure silk. The Porcupine of the Contrada of Siena — a heraldic animal from the 1200s — became an icon of Italian design.

Today, that porcupine lives on this bag.

The cameo is made with original pure silk fabric by Pucci. It is not a print, it is not a reproduction — it is a cut-out of that fabric, hand-applied within the galvanized gold brass frame. One of a kind.
