Via D'Azeglio 5/A: where Gamberini's heart found a home

Via D'Azeglio 5/A: dove il cuore di Gamberini ha trovato casa

If I had to describe Gamberini Bag with an address, I wouldn't hesitate: Via D'Azeglio 5/A.

When I was looking for a space for the first mono-brand store in 2015, I knew it had to be here, a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore, in what Bolognese simply call "the living room."

A street with a soul

Via D'Azeglio is not just an elegant pedestrian street. It's a street that has a different rhythm from others — slower, more intentional. Walking here means feeling that cultural stratification that Bologna has carried for centuries.

Lucio's shadow

There's something special about this corner of the city. Via D'Azeglio is the street where Lucio Dalla lived. Until a few years ago, it wasn't uncommon to see him walking with his shoulder bag or stopping to talk to shopkeepers. It's an energy that has remained in the air — a strange mix of worldliness and poetry that makes this place unique in the world.

I wanted to open here precisely for this reason. Not just for the location — for the atmosphere.

A space that is an extension of the vision

Number 5/A is not a retail store. It's an atelier, a living room, a place where you can touch the leather of the models, choose the cameo calmly, understand how the customization system works. Every time I open in the morning, I feel that this profession makes sense.

If you're passing through Bologna, come and visit me. We are exactly where music and design meet.
