Gamberini Meets Art: Arte Fiera 2026 with Roberta Cacciatore
There's a time of year when Bologna emanates a special energy: Arte Fiera week. For me, coming from the world of Art History, it's like returning home in a new guise.
The collaborations project
For some time now, I've been working on a project that is very dear to me: inviting visual artists to reinterpret the Gamberini oval as a canvas. The result is limited edition cameos — miniature works of art that you can also purchase separately, to make your bag unique or simply to collect them.
Roberta Cacciatore and cyanotype
This year, on the occasion of Art City White Night, I hosted artist Roberta Cacciatore in Via D'Azeglio. Her research starts from the female body and uses cyanotype — that photographic technique with an ethereal and suspended cyan blue — to create images that seem like materialized dreams.
The heart of her project for Gamberini? The female figure and what she calls her ceramic tears. Roberta created a capsule collection of cameos entirely by hand, where photography meets embroidery and physical matter.
Art outside the museum
Collaborating with artists like Roberta allows me to challenge the idea that art must remain inside a glass case. Gamberini artist cameos are made to be experienced: suspended between artwork and accessory, they carry a narrative that the viewer is invited to complete.
Seeing the shop full of beauty, chatter, and curious people during the white night reminded me why I chose this work.
