How the Cameo Exchange works: change bag in three seconds
The question I get asked most often in the store is always the same: but how exactly does it work?
The answer is simple. It takes three seconds and free hands.
The frame: the heart of the system
At the center of every Gamberini bag is an oval brass frame, gold-plated. It's not just a decorative element — it's the heart of everything. This frame is designed to hold an interchangeable cameo, keeping it in perfect tension thanks to three snap fasteners positioned on the inner perimeter.
No creases, no slipping. The cameo stays put all day, no matter what you do.
The three-step change
- Press the three snap fasteners on the frame with your fingers.
- Remove the current cameo from the oval.
- Insert the new cameo and close the fasteners.
Done. The bag is transformed.
The cameos: what you can put in
There are two types of cameos available. Graphic cameos, designed by me, printed and waterproof. Fabric cameos, handmade with high fashion fabrics selected from the collections of major Italian brands — each piece is unique and unrepeatable; no two cameos are alike.
One system, infinite combinations
If you have three different cameos, you essentially have three bags. You can change them according to your outfit, the occasion, or your mood for the day.
