How the Cameo Exchange works: change your bag in ten seconds
The question I get most often in the shop is always the same: how does it work, exactly?
Ten seconds and free hands are enough.
The frame
At the centre of every Gamberini bag there is an oval aluminium frame, in gold, platinum and black anodised finishes. It holds the cameo under tension with three snap buttons around the inner edge.
No folds, no slipping: the cameo stays put all day, whatever you do.
The change in four steps
- Pull the frame towards you to release the three snap buttons.
- Take the cameo out of its seat.
- Put the new cameo in.
- Set the frame back and press the three buttons, until you hear the three clicks.
Done. The bag is another one.
The cameo: what you can put in
There are two kinds of cameo.
The Print ones I draw myself: printed and waterproof.
The TailorSuite ones are made in our workshop in Bologna, from couture fabrics and silks. Each one is centred by hand, one at a time: you choose where the pattern falls before cutting, and you accept the waste. No two are the same.
Three cameo, chosen by you
Every bag comes with three cameo included in the price, chosen by you from the whole collection. With three cameo you have three bags: you change according to the outfit, the occasion, the day.
The size of the frame hasn't changed since 2014. The cameo you choose today fits every Gamberini bag with an interchangeable cameo, including one you bought ten years ago.
